Semester 1 Master of Teaching Compulsory Course Commencement & EdFest 2022

Welcome to the School of Education and Master of Teaching postgraduate course. The Compulsory Course Commencement (ComCoCom) will provide you with a range of information, key dates, and essential details you need in order to make a successful start to your postgraduate teaching degree. Participants will meet staff from the School and a number of student services across the University; with opportunities across Tuesday 1 March and Wednesday 2 March to ask questions.

Following on from ComCoCom is EdFest. EdFest is Western Sydney University’s annual teaching careers expo. This event is one of our most popular careers fairs and attracts a large number of students, along with industry partners. It also forms a part of ComCoCom.

Edfest provides students with the opportunity to explore career start information and network with a wide range of employer and teaching sourcing agencies. These include the Department of Education, Catholic Education Office , NSW Education Standards Authority, Independent Schools, as well as local and international education agencies. EdFEst will be held online this year with sessions spanning from Wednesday 2nd of March in the afternoon through to Friday 4th of March.

ComCoCom and EdFest online sessions are offered over four days:

• Tuesday, 1 March; and

• Wednesday, 2 March

• Thursday, 3 March

• Friday, 4 March

Sessions 1 and 2 on Tuesday 1 March are compulsory sessions. The EdFest opening session on Wednesday 2 March and main session on Thursday 3 March are also compulsory. The remaining sessions on Thursday and Friday are recommended.
